I hope everyone had a joyous Thanksgiving celebration. Now we set our sights on Advent and the many activities we have coming up at the Cathedral as we prepare, once again, to welcome the Christ Child this Christmas. First up is our Advent Decorating day tomorrow, Saturday, at 10 a.m. Next is the Nativity Puppets in the Nave December 6 at 7 p.m., December 7 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., and December 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available HERE. Come see the story of the Nativity brought to life in this long-standing tradition at the Cathedral with puppets created specifically for our space. Monday, December 9 is The City Come Again concert presented by William Jewell College at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 14 will be the Women’s Lunch and Service Project at 11 a.m. and Mingle and Munch, Sweaters and Sips open house in the Northland from 6-9 p.m. You can register for both events HERE. Our Annual Service of Lessons and Carols will be Sunday, December 15, at 5 p.m.

I shared this news on Sunday at the morning services but would like to share it again. It is my great pleasure to announce that, after meeting with a music committee and me, I have named Dr. Lucas Fletcher as our new Director of Music. Many thanks to committee members Diane Barker, John Braum, Nigel Jones, and Bill McCandless. Welcome, Lucas!

Please continue to pray for one another, for our Cathedral family, for the nation, and the world.
